Welcome to The Fish Inn, Buttermere, Lake District

Situated in the Lake District’s most beautiful valley (as voted for by the best views of Britain!), The Fish Inn is the ideal place to stay for your lake district adventure or a relaxing weekend away. Within just five minutes’ walk you can reach Buttermere and Crummock water or be well on your way to conquering some of Wainwrights favourite hikes.

Our Inn is full of charm and remains traditional, respecting the historical importance as the home of the famed Mary Robinson, The Maid of Buttermere.

With a lack of disruption from the modern world, you can allow yourself to indulge in the peaceful countryside and truly make the most of your stay. We look forward to the pleasure of your company and assure you of a warm welcome.
